Student Leadership Teams

The Society has undergone a restructuring to allow for easier and fluid communication and organisation between the current student representation bodies. There are five distinct teams working together, being led by the administrative Operations team.

The Academic Reps have two main responsibilities: the first is to collect feedback from students, regarding topics within their remit, and to alert university staff of issues affecting students' academic experience. Equally as important, the network of reps will work across departments and faculties to communicate best practise to one another.

The Welfare Reps have two main responsibilities: the first is to collect feedback from students, regarding topics within their remit, and to alert university staff of issues affecting students' wellbeing. Equally as important, the network of reps serve as a campaigning body to promote messages about positive wellbeing and signposting to relevant internal and external support services. intuitivly

The Operations Team has two main responsibilities: the first is to oversee governance and compliance of student activities including: finance, health and safety, administration, and relationships with third parties (such as industry and other clubs). Equally as important, the team facilitates the promotion and brand development of all student led activities within the school.

The Social events team has two main responsibilities: the first is to integrate new students into the school and provide regular teambuilding and recreational events. Equally as important, the social team arranges an assortment of cultural activities to allow Design Engineering students to make the most of studying in London, such as museum & theatre trips, sports, and more.

The Enrichment and Exhibitions team has two main responsibilities: the first is to arrange a series of enrichment events throughout the year to allow students to dive deeper into topics outside the curriculum with events such as design challenges, talks, enterprise workshops, and more. Equally as important, the team organises exhibitions and showcases of student work from across the school for fellow students, industry, and the general public.
